Goodbye...hair

As many of you know I have been growing my hair out for locks of love and yesterday I finally cut it all off. My sister went with me for emotional support and to take some pictures of course. It's going to take me awhile to get use to having really short hair but it was all worth it to make some child a beautiful hair piece.

Waiting:Cutting:Gone:
Finished product:The worst part about it was that it is so short in the back that she had to shave my neck! But it was all worth it!

Twister

This year has been crazy with weather related issues. First there was the ice storm in Northwest Arkansas and now Chris's home town has hit by an F3 tornado. We went down today to help Chris's mother clean out what's left of her office. There are no words to really describe what it looked like and the sad thing is that we really didn't even get the see the worst hit areas. In some places it doesn't even look like a tornado when through that area. Thankfully all of Chris's family and friends are safe. Please pray for those who lost a loved one and for those who have been injured. Here are some pictures that we took.

St, Patrick's Day

Hope everyone wore green yesterday because it was St. Paddy's Day! This is one of my sister's favorite holidays because her favorite color is green. We of course spent the night at Baum with friends watching the Razorback vs. Nebraska game. Since we were one of the first thousand fans there we got two free green Razorback baseball caps. Everyone was wearing green including the team and of course our favorite Razorback mascot, Ribby!

27...

You know you are getting older when you can't remember how old your going to turn on you're birthday. This past Friday was my 27th birthday and for several days last week I thought that I was going to turn 28. I decided that this year I was going to spend the day relaxing and not doing much. I had taken Friday off to sleep in but I woke up at 6:30 instead. The first thing that I had planned was to go see my hairstylist to see if my hair was long enough for Locks of Love. I still have about an inch to go before I can cut it off. Don't worry when I'm ready to cut it off I will post lots of pictures of the before and after hair. I think that Locks of Love is a really could cause and since my hair grows really quick I decided to donate it so a disadvantaged child could have a beautiful hair piece.

After leaving my hairstylist I went over and had a makeover done at Clinique. If anyone uses Clinique products it is bonus time right now and you have your choice of free gifts this time. I wanted a new look to ring in my birthday with and needless to say the eye makeup she used wasn't me. After my makeover I went over to my parent's house to have lunch and to check out their new tile that they just had installed. After eating tons of food I went and got a horrible manicure and pedicure done. I will just say don't ever go to the beauty school if you want your nails to look nice!

Then it was on to the best part of the day...Razorback Baseball! My best friend Sylvia and her family got to go to Baum Stadium with us and enjoy a GREAT night of baseball. The weather was beautiful, the crowd was great, and to top it all off the Razorbacks won in extra innings.
We actually had to celebrate my birthday on two days because everyone couldn't get together on Friday. Thankfully Saturday we did get to sleep in till 7:30 before we had to get ready to go. My parent's took us out to MarketPlace Grill to celebrate my birthday and after we finished we all went back to their house for cake and ice cream. Then it was on to another baseball game but this time it wasn't a great win.
After the game my sister took me birthday shopping and I had another makeover done at Mac. I've always been scared to go have one done there because the stylists tend to look a little scary. The makeup stylist did a wonderful job and I spent most of my birthday money their. I think that I'm set for makeup for awhile now! I took pictures of the look because there is no way that I will be able to recreate it. You might be wonderful what Chris got me for my birthday he bought me two new dresses from Dillards one to wear to work or church and one to for special occassions.

AMERICAN IDOL OR LACK THERE OF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY DID THEY LET TATIANA COME BACK????????????
I have been a regular follower of the show, however, now that the crazy one is back I will not watch it. I had my favorites and they did get through to the top 12 but the fact that they let her in makes me never want to watch it again. Every other girl there was more talented than her not to mention a lot more tolerable. I can think of 123459671234 people that are better singers than her. That includes me and if you have ever heard me sing well I carry a wide variety of tunes in a bucket. I am so bad that on Singstar they can't come up with a word to describe how awful I am. I understand that this is all she wants as she has mentioned 2342342342 times on the show but they are now just playing to get viewers. I wonder if they will turn more people off like they did me. Oh well lets just hope that Anoop Dog comes through in a pinch for us. Ok I will get off of my critical horse now because I have no room to critique anybody on singing. Thanks American Idol for ruining my Tuesday and Wednesday evening TV viewing. I don't know what to watch now. Top Chef is over, American Idol is blown, thank goodness Wednesday night baseball is about to start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fat Monday

This week is the celebration of Mardi Gras and on Saturday we went to the annual Fayetteville Mardi Gras parade. We've been to it before in the past and it is always a lot of fun watching the people and floats. This year there weren't as many spectators because it was cold but it was still a could turn out. Here are some pictures from the parade:This weekend also marked the opening weekend for Razorback baseball. We've been counting down the days till baseball season and I can't believe that it is here already. I'm hoping that this year is a much warmer baseball season than last year. It seems like every game last year was freezing. Chris didn't take any pictures of the opening series because he is waiting for his new camera lens to come in. Hopefully it will be in this weekend so I can post pictures of this next series.

I haven't posted on our blog in a few weeks but I hope that everyone had a great Valentine's Day. Chris and I had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Friday night we went to Olive Garden and we finally used up all of our gift certificates from Christmas. Thank you to everyone who gave us so many of them because we truly did enjoy them!! Saturday we spent the day window shopping and Chris bought me shoes from Nine West for my present. Since Chris won't let me buy coats and jackets anymore I have replaced them with shoes! As for Chris's present he received the new Third Day CD and a home cooked dinner Saturday night. I know that some of you are probably wondering if he got food poisoning from eating it but it turned out wonderfully! I want to say a big thank you to Richard's Meat Market for the great chicken.

Hope you guys have a great Fat Tuesday!
