Highlights of 2007

Does it seem like this year has gone by at warp speed? The year has gone by so quick and lots of things have changed for us. Here are a few highlights of what happened in 2007 for us. The year started off with a bang when we rang in the New Year with our friends The Miller's. Chris went to Las Vegas for the first time in February, even though it was just for work and we both attended several Razorback baseball games.

The beginning of June was really hard for our family because Chris's grandmother passed away. We all miss her very much but we know that she is in a much better place now. June also marked our five year wedding anniversary which we celebrated by going to Kansas City for the weekend to watch the Royals play. We also attended a wedding of some of our very close friends The Gibson's.

The month of August was a very life changing event for us this year. We finally bought our first home after 5 years! We still love our new home very much and there are still several things that we want to do to it. But, we are going to be here for a very long time so we have plenty of time to do them in.

In November we adopted another dog, which we named Morgan. Not that we really need another dog but we wanted someone for Baxter to play with. So, that brings our total animal count to 2 dogs, 2 guinea pigs, and 1 fish. I know that next year Chris is going to keep me away from all animal shelters and other places that sell animals.

The only New Year’s resolution that we have made so far is to lose weight. I know that Chris makes this resolution every year but we are going to really try to stick to it this year. So, we hope you all have a great new year.

Christmas time

Well, we haven't posted anything in a year! So, next year we plan on posting more blogs. Since time seems to go by so quick and we don't get to see some of our friends everyday this blog will be for friends and family to keep up with our lives.

It just doesn't seem like Christmas is tomorrow. For the past couple of years to me it hasn't seemed like Christmas. I don't know if it's because the weather has been so warm or if it is because the stores start decorating in October. But, it just doesn't feel like Christmas time. I keep trying to put myself in the Christmas spirit but I just can't seem to make myself cheery. I know that I am not the only one who feels this way. I can still remember last Christmas so clearly. I guess as we get older time just keeps going by faster and faster. We hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and to many more happy memories shared together in the new year.
